I love learning about just about everything, particularly science. My physics studies (at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota) made me appreciate the rigor that scientists apply to their own theories - even if it means slogging through ridiculously long mathematical proofs (I’m looking at you, quantum). Mostly, though, learning and writing about science is awesome because learning theories forces you to see the world in a new way. I particularly enjoy the particle zoo, the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy, quantum spookiness, and graphene.
Other interests include: reading, British history (particularly the Plantagenet and Tudor families), theater, crossword puzzles, and baking bread.
