    When you mix hydrogen peroxide with sodium iodide, you get billows and billows of invisible oxygen gas. Ah, but you can make that gas visible with dish soap, creating…elephant toothpaste? (Just don’t try this one at home, kids—what you can’t see is how much heat the reaction produces, which can cause burns.)
